Established in 2007 at Kota Padukare of Udupi district and affiliated to Mangalore University the Laksmi Soma Bangera Government First Grade College has carved a niche for itself in and around coastal Karnataka. Within a short times span, the college has earned notability and appreciation from all corner, through its consistent effort to scale newer heights in the process of realizing the higher education dreams of students from poor and backward sections.

The college library started functioning since 2007 to promote and support the teaching and learning needs of the learner. The library aims to provide right information to right person at right time. Developed library as a well-equipped center of learning, procurement of information and fulfillment of the academic requirements and the students as and when needed. The college library has 7625 books and subscribes 7 newspapers and 38 print Journals and magazines and

6000 e-Journals. The library is been computerized with the installation of e- Granthalaya Software.
