LIBRARY RULES 


 

  1. All students coming to and leaving the library shall have to sign in the Student’s library Movement Register kept in the Library mandatory.

  2. Perfect silence should be maintained in the library.

  3. Students have to keep their personal belongings in the place provided for it.

  4.  Students should submit their identity cards before entering the Library.

  5. They have to observe the rules, directions etc., strictly inside the Library.

  6.  Use of mobile phones in and around the library is strictly prohibited.

  7. No refreshments or foodstuff of any kind shall be consumed anywhere inside the library.

  8. Library documents should be handled with utmost care.  Writing, marking, making an y note on them or any damage is strictly prohibited.

  9. Students are responsible for the materials borrowed from the Library. Borrower will be    charged for any loss or damage to the materials by way of mutilation and disfiguring of pages of the document/Book, by either asking for a replacement of the document or paying the cost of the document as decided by the authority.

  10.    In the reference section, readers are requested to replace any book or journal back to the shelves.

  11. Those who require clearance certificate from the Library have to submit their library card strictly.

  12. Any student who is leaving this Institution shall have to return all the borrowed   books/periodicals and pay overdue charges, if any to get NO DUE Certificate.


 

LIBRARY TIMINGS: 9:00 am to 5.00 pm.


 

Book Lending/Circulation procedures

For issue of books, student has to give the requisition slip at the circulation counter along with his library ticket. The books will be kept reserved and it will be issued from 9.00 am to 4:30 pm. After necessary checking the library staff will issue the book by writing the due date on the due date slip. Books should be brought to library for return and renewals. Lending period is 7 days.

Conditions for borrowing books.

  1. General Students are eligible to borrow two books at a time on their library tickets.

  2. Students should not sub-lend the books and other documents borrowed from the library.

  3. If a book or periodical is not returned in good condition, in due date stamped, fine will be charged as per Government Rules.

  4. Loss of borrowers ticket should be reported in writing to the librarian immediately. The library will issue a fresh ticket on payment of Rs.20/- as fine.

  5.  Library tickets are not transferable.

  6. The borrower is fully responsible for the books borrowed on his ticket.

7. The library may recall a book at any time before its due date, in case there is a   demand by the faculty.

08.There is a book bank facilities for SC/ST Students.
